this breaks my heart

my boyfriend david hasnt heard from his father for years sense he left him and his two other brothers. recently a women messaged david on myspace asking if it was him. not knowing who this women was david asked. she replyed like this.


My name is Kathy, and I simply know a man who desperately loves and wants to find his boys. He has tried to call, with no response......and has written letters, again with no response. He thinks they may just have no interest in talking to him...and that concept obviously breaks his heart...but he also says he would understand if that was the case. But in the name of optimism.......sometimes when I'm online I can't help but just take the time to do a search to see if I can help. He loves them with all of his heart, and since I've known him he has carried their photos ...and so proudly shown them to anyone and everyone who will take the time to look. His name is David Anthony Compton.....and his boys he called Billy, Tony, and James. They lived in Vegas...

i understand david is still hurt by his father. but david showed no remorce and laughed with his friends when i asked how he would like to respond to the message. either its his way of dealing or he has no heart. i know thats harsh to say and it is hard for me to say it. but it truly broke my heart just to hear him say nothing about it. i know what its like to not have a father when you need him most and it hurts and you try to accept it. but some things need to be forgiven. david believed the whole time his dad didnt want anything to do with him. so im guessing its a schock to find out that his father really does care for him.
